Challenge
Rousselot wanted to understand whether women noticed meaningful differences when trying collagen supplements over time and whether perceived benefits varied between formulations.
Approach
We recruited 200 women during lockdown and ran a three-month home-use trial, documenting weekly feedback on experiences with two active variants and one placebo. This longitudinal design allowed us to track change over time, compare perceptions across products and capture real-life usage in context.
Outcome
The study provided robust feedback on perceived effects over time and helped Rousselot understand the lived consumer experience of its collagen supplements. It also provided a stronger basis for evaluating product claims, differentiation and future communication.
